WCW saw a lot of great wrestlers saddled with some pretty weird gimmicks, and Chavo Guerrero's affiliation with Pepé was undoubtedly one of the oddest. However, it's to his credit that he somehow made it work, and the wooden hobby horse followed him for some of his time there. Riding his imaginary buddy to the ring, Chavo used it throughout his feud as a weapon on Eddie Guerrero during their feud to varying degrees of success. Poor Pepé was brought to an end by Chris Jericho, and while you might think that a gimmick like this would be a career killer, both it and Chavo actually ended up getting over with the crowd who often chanted for him during Eddie's matches in the hopes that the strange duo would make an appearance. It's not a gimmick which lasted for a huge amount of time, but it did at least give Guerrero the opportunity to show the brass how much charisma he had.
