Perhaps the biggest thing to look forward to at NXT Takeover: London though is the main event between Finn Balor and Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship. First and foremost, this is a main event that makes sense; two former allies who now both want the same thing and have seen their friendship severed as a result. Its simple, but it feels natural and it definitely works. Furthermore, these are two veterans of the business who we all know by now are capable of stealing any show theyre on. And thats very likely what going to happen in London on Wednesday. Also of note, is the somewhat reversed logic that sees us with a developmental main event between two seasoned pros who are at the top of their respective games right now, whereas the main rosters flagship storyline has largely been designed in a bid to get one of its participants over. That in itself is perhaps the most telling sign of how far NXT has come over the past couple of years.
