10 Potential Bryan Danielson Dojo Recruits In AEW
2. Wheeler Yuta
Another technically gifted wrestler, Wheeler Yuta was the third name mentioned by Bryan Danielson when pitching the idea of a stable to Jon Moxley.
Yuta recently competed against Moxley as a last minute replacement of the 2 February edition of Dynamite, after Brian Kendrick was pulled from the show. Despite losing, he put on an impressive performance that demonstrated the potential of the 25 year old prospect.
As a member of 'Best Friends', Yuta has been somewhat floundering, often feeling like a background character in comparison to the other members of the group. Having him as a hand-picked recruit of the Danielson Dojo would ultimately help push him into the spotlight, while still giving him proper support as he develops his character and improves his mic work.
On the 16 March episode of Dynamite, Yuta and Chuck Taylor lost to Moxley and Danielson. After the match, Yuta approached Regal and offered a handshake, receiving a hard slap in return. Yuta stepped up to Regal before exiting the ring, leaving a smile on the veteran's face.
Realistically speaking, joining the ‘Danielson Dojo’ would lead to an inevitable feud between Yuta’s new mentors and his ex 'Best Friends', something that could ultimately benefit both groups. This feud could also serve as the catalyst for the inclusion of the final pick.
