Popular opinion is that Roman Reigns will not walk out of the Royal Rumble with the WWE Championship. There's even less of a chance he walks into WrestleMania as WWE Champion, but what if WWE decides to go the opposite route? It's clear that Roman Reigns is Vince McMahon's next John Cena, and history shows that Vince McMahon likes to establish his new golden boy as the face of the company with a lengthy WWE Championship run. He did it with Hogan, he did it with Diesel, he did it with Cena and there's more than a good chance he's considered doing it with Reigns. Roman could again overcome all the odds he's currently facing and prove his toughness by holding onto the WWE Title long past WrestleMania. Doing so could set up a match that was promised for the 2015 Survivor Series but had to be scrapped due to the then-WWE Champion going down with a serious knee injury. Perhaps the man to dethrone Roman Reigns will be a man with equal potential and the man who never lost the WWE title, the man that is hoped and believed to be returning around SummerSlam 2016: Seth Rollins.
