Thus far during his WWE tenure, Erick Rowan has rarely played an out-and-out babyface. In late-2014, he did join 'Team Cena' to face 'Team Authority' at the Survivor Series, but people weren't really given much of a reason to connect with the big man. Instead, it was simply expected that fans would rally behind him because he was chasing his old partner, Luke Harper and The Authority. Any subsequent big babyface push never happened, but it could be time to pull the trigger on a good guy run. Obviously, this would require at least some solid reasoning by the WWE creative team, but it's not outside the realm of possibility that they could make it work. One potential problem standing in Rowan's way could be his menacing appearance and huge size. Erick Rowan is difficult to have sympathy for when he's in danger, because he's such an intimidating individual. Therefore, WWE would really need to think long and hard about how they could create a connection between the audience and their monster grappler. It's rumoured that he'll be the tag partner for Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose against The Wyatts at Night Of Champions. If that happens, he'd be considered babyface again, but fans would require more to really get behind him.
