10 Problems With Sheamus As WWE World Heavyweight Champion

2. Kevin Owens Is A Better Fit

Last December, Kevin Owens debuted in NXT, and in his first night turned on his best friend Sami Zayn leading to an excellent program between the two. Owens was then called up to the main roster and beat John Cena right away in his first WWE PPV offering. We€™ll try to forget that he lost both rematches and lost to Finn Balor shortly afterwards, though.

When Seth Rollins got injured in Dublin earlier this month, WWE desperately needed a new top heel. Though they went with the safe and predictable Sheamus, who€™s been featured on WWE TV for 6 years, it could be argued that Kevin Owens would have been a much better fit for the role.

Owens has years of experience, he€™s realistic and believable in his role, is great on the microphone and he can have excellent matches night in and night out.

Plus, he's only been on TV for five months, and in that time he has found a niche as a heel that people love to hate. The potential matches he could have with top babyfaces like Brock Lesnar, Daniel Bryan and others would be great to watch and perhaps get people more excited about the product.

Simply put, Owens>Sheamus.
