Remember that time that Maven won Tough Enough, entered the Royal Rumble, and then dropkicked The Undertaker over the top rope? Yeah, we all do, and if you don't...well then watch it on Youtube or DailyMotion. While yes, the entire WWE Universe knew that Maven wasn't exactly WWE Championship material, he was certainly the most easily cast for sympathy performer in the ring. WWE's insane to not have an actual in-ring moment already laid out for the winner of Tough Enough. The idea of anything from a US Championship Open Challenge match to the aforementioned Royal Rumble slot is cool because it creates another great plot arc or storytelling device. In a company filled with hungry performers who want to get over, having as many avenues available for getting over as possible is important.
