8. Memories Of Wrestling For J. Robinson

During his time at the University of Minnesota, Brock Lesnar was fortunate enough to wrestle under one of the most accomplished amateur wrestling coaches of all-time in J. Robinson. Serving as head of the Golden Gophers program since 1986, Robinson has bred a program of excellence that has seen Minnesota rise to elite status when it comes to the grueling sport. Wrestling is considered to be the most effective base for mixed martial arts and along with Brock€™s otherworldly strength and athleticism is a big reason why he was able to excel in that environment in such a short time. It also tends to give men an advantage when they entire the pro ranks as evidenced by the abundance of gifted workers with amateur backgrounds. Lesnar no doubt learned a great deal about work ethic from Robinson, as well as going from a Junior College standout to an NCAA national champion in a very brief time, so it would have been nice to dive into that a little bit and get his thoughts on working for the legendary coach.
