10 Reason WWE Reality Era Is Already Faltering

8. Lack Of Midcard Storylines

The current WWE roster rivals any in company history. There is a plethora of talent up and down the roster, yet many of these wrestlers are relegated to obscurity due to the lack of any real direction. One of the biggest positives during the Attitude Era was the fact that you could turn into RAW IS WAR, and nearly every match that came across your television had some kind of storyline behind it. These days, we often are stuck with the same matches, or variations of the previous week's match, week after week with no real reason behind it. Having a great top of the card is excellent, but if you don't have interesting things going on throughout the middle of the card, how are you going to keep your audience's attention so that they stay tuned in until that big main event? The Intercontinental and US titles are very rarely defended these days, which adds to this problem. A good Intercontinental Title program could go a long way towards making the middle of the card interesting again.
