There was a certain presence that the Kane of 1997 carried with him into arenas across the country. Like a movie monster of sorts, he would slowly stalk to the ring while a competitor or two watched from inside the squared circle. At any point, said Superstar could have escaped the ring, hightailed it through the crowd and escaped pain-free. Instead, it was almost as if they were mesmerized by the Big Red Monster. Today, Kane lumbers to the ring as if it is another day, another dollar. Outside of the lighting and pyro, that special feeling surrounding the character is gone. It may have something to do with television timing or it could simply be the performer's preference. Whatever the case may be, the goosebumps and the shiver up the spine that fans once experienced is nonexistent.
