10 Reasons Kevin Nash Deserves To Be In The WWE Hall Of Fame

7. He Was A Battle Royal Stud

Earlier, it was mentioned that Kevin Nash won WCW€™s World War 3 Battle Royal. That€™s a huge feat if you think about the psychology of it. There are three rings with sixty guys fighting to dump each other over the top rope to the floor. They do not enter in intervals like the Royal Rumble. They all start at the exact same time. The winner would get to main event Starrcade and challenge Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. I€™m surprised no one died. If that€™s not enough, he was a force to be reckoned with in the Royal Rumble. In 1994, he had to play the waiting game due to his dominance. He showed up, eliminated four guys, then had to actually stand there and wait for the next competitor to enter. Some say that was the night he truly got over with the WWF fans. He eliminated three more competitors until Randy Savage showed up. Even then it took the combination of Mabel, Bam Bam Bigelow, Bob Holly, Crush, and a double-cross superkick from €œThe Heartbreak Kid€ Shawn Michaels to get him out of there after nearly twenty minutes! Two years later, he finished in the final two, only to be eliminated again by HBK. While he hasn€™t won a Royal Rumble, Nash will be the first to tell you that one of the most special moments of his career was his surprise return at the 2011 Rumble in Boston. His music from his days as Diesel hit and it was easily one of the loudest ovations of the night as he put on his black leather glove for the first time since €™96.To give you an idea of Nash€™s character and his way of giving back, a few months prior to that Rumble he conducted a shoot interview alongside his buddy Sean Waltman where they were asked about young talent in the business. To stir the pot and get people talking, Big Kev said he would walk into the locker room and slap Wade Barrett in the mouth just to show him who is boss. That night at the Rumble, he worked with the young Superstar and was sent home by Barrett after two minutes of action, giving him a huge rub.
