4. Expand Both Characters

Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt have the potential to be two of the most interesting, well-rounded characters in WWE history, but they€™re not quite there yet. They have ideas of two great characters, and now it€™s time to flesh things out a little and really develop who Ambrose and Wyatt are as people, beyond the taglines that WWE can put on a t-shirt. Dean Ambrose, following the dissolution of The Shield, has been categorised as €œUnstable€ but he can be so much more than that. Now that the feud with Seth Rollins is over, it€™s time to really find out what makes Dean Ambrose tick. He doesn€™t have that vendetta defining him any more, so who is Dean Ambrose? Why is he a wrestler? What are his career goals? He had the United States Championship for a year and didn€™t seem too interested. There€™s so much story potential with him. Bray Wyatt on the other hand, is far too all over the place. He€™s a cult leader without any defined goals. His actions seem contradict each other when examined on the macro scale, but by taking him away for a bit and putting some thought behind it, they can re-examine why this crazy cult leader is in a wrestling promotion, and what he€™s there to do. Motivation is a key part of character development, and if WWE wants is to really buy into Ambrose and Wyatt, they need to think of the €œwhy€ a bit more.
