Roman Reigns is a Vince McMahon guy, and as much as some fans loath him, he isn't going to go away. His victory over Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose at Fastlane 2016 means he'll now be the WrestleMania main event show closer for the second year in a row. Unlike last year, he'll almost certainly be walking away with the WWE Championship. But why did WWE stick with Reigns when the audience clearly wasn't with him? Why didn't they go with the natural momentum and hugely over Dean Ambrose? Why didn't they put their biggest box office star Brock Lesnar in the Mania main event? The simple answer is that Vince McMahon loves Roman Reign, and no matter how predictable or uninspiring The Big Dog is, McMahon is going to stick with his guy. He's a mark for him. The irony is Vince's love and obsession for Reigns has been a hindrance rather than a help. It has suffocated any natural momentum. But even with Reigns' current WrestleMania story in tatters, don't expect McMahon to change policy on his franchise star. Fastlane and WrestleMania are just the start of Reigns' career in the old Cena spot. Here's why the Chairman is adamant on pushing his guy, no matter what.
