10 Reasons Spike TV Will Cancel TNA Impact Wrestling

3. They're Tired Of Throwing Money Away

We all know that Spike has had a financial involvement for years now. What we don't know is just how deeply they've dipped into their pockets to prop TNA up. It's been confirmed that Spike supplemented the money for the contract of Sting, helping the fledgling promotion bring a guy that was viewed as a game changer for them (he wasn't), and it was rumored they were heavily involved in the Hogan and Bischoff negotiations as well. Since we've already outlined several other reasons why TNA is offering a poor return on investment for the network, Spike would be foolish to continue to dump money into a venture that has shown absolutely no signs of ever paying off for them. Especially considering they're on the lower end of the food chain as far as cable networks go. Besides, they're already heavily invested in the Bellator MMA promotion, and it's possible they don't want to divide their resources between what are essentially directly competing forms of entertainment.
