Wrestle Kingdom 11 could end up being the most watched non-WWE wrestling event in history, due not only to new streaming services but also down to how New Japan have managed to capture the attention of the wrestling world over the past few years.

The match card is truly stacked and some of the main bouts have been building for months, so hype is at a fever pitch. This list covers the main talking points going into the event, from the anticipated debuts, surprise match additions and rumours about what New Japan could be planning for 2017. If you're a WWE fan and you want to know what all the fuss is about, or you're a NJPW fan and you want to continue riding the hype train, here are these 10 reasons why we should all be excited for Wrestle Kingdom 11.

10. The Young Bucks Will Make Their Mark

In 2016 Matt and Nick Jackson decided they wanted to spend the year tearing away from the competition to become the most entertaining tag team in the world of wrestling. Ring Of Honor, PWG, and New Japan all hosted their fair share of Superkick Parties, though where The Young Bucks might main event ROH in a Ladder War, NJPW represents a bit of a glass ceiling for them.

This is down to New Japan's old school distinction between junior heavyweights and heavyweights, meaning TYB and their spot-monkey nature doesn't feature high up the card for most of the year. Wrestle Kingdom 11 is no different as they're in a relatively downplayed feud with Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta while their less experienced Bullet club brethren, Guerillas Of Destiny, will go up against the World Tag League winners Makabe and Honma.

So momentous has their year been, don't expect The Bucks Of Youth to allow a low place on the card to stop them from doing everything they can to set a ridiculous pace from the get-go, and maybe even steal the show.
