The UFC is currently looking at the prospect that outside forces may bring about a fighter's union, something it desperately does not want to happen in order to keep fighter salaries down. In this case, it's the Culinary Union in Las Vegas - angered that UFC owners the Fertitta brothers won't let them into their casinos - that is pushing the movement. That's just politics, but a significant number of fighters are interested, given the events of the past year, which saw fighters lose money hand over fist while the UFC is having a fantastic rebound year financially. While there has also been union talk in the WWE, you hear far less about it, and for good reason - the WWE is much better at taking care of its employees.
