8. Because This Angle Showcases That The Authority Is Growing Tiresome
At this point, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon's real-life personas are far outweighing anything they're doing on television. Thus, the two of them attempting to be gladhanding heels putting over the Rollins/statue/Sting finale on Raw just reeked of bad acting. It's really hard to boo Triple H when everyone and their mother knows that Paul Levesque is killing it with NXT. As well, Stephanie's passionately behind the "divas revolution," so again, she's really not a bad person. Tying anything regarding this match to Triple H and Stephanie thus kills ANY Heat that this match could've potentially had out of the gate. The whole thing is contrived and convoluted. Not-so bad guy Triple H buries John Cena, and STING (without any sort of reference point) is the big reveal? And Triple H didn't sell it bigger? This angle deserved better...
