That signature WWE Draft music mixed with the shuffling of Superstars was always a thrill. Who would end up where? When the picks weren't predictable, it was a lot of fun. But as much of a treat as it was for fans, the randomization of draft picks has never been and will never be done in the real world. In kayfabe, Raw and SmackDown could get an equal amount of draft picks, but Raw could get all the top-tier talent while SmackDown could get nothing but the bottom of the barrel. In what world is that fair? It went to show how meaningless the general manager position really was if they weren't doing anything to trade talent.In its final years, the WWE Draft was being done simply for the sake of swerving the fans, not for it to make sense. They had the right idea in 2002 when Ric Flair and Mr. McMahon strategized what Superstars they were going to choose, but as years passed, it became a complete joke.
