19-year old Patrick Clark is from Washington, DC and the product of a home where his father was killed after a drug deal gone wrong. If he were to make the final 10 (and look at him, there's a really great chance that he will), having similarly troubled (and similarly African-American) Booker T as an on-screen mentor would aid his development immensely. Wrestling is a business that's all about telling stories. Having veteran aides around to assist in younger talents either a) honing their stories or b) amplifying them is important. A guy like Patrick Clark having a guy who had to hustle and overcome the odds like Booker T as a sympathetic ear is such an asset to not just the show, but to the development of truly captivating talents.
