10 Scrapped Wrestling Moments BETTER Than What We Got!

10. Kofi Kingston And Mustafa Ali Finish Their Story At WrestleMania 37

There was a time there, before Kofi Kingston found himself in the WWE Title picture on the Road to WrestleMania 35, when The New Day man's WWE Championship Elimination Chamber spot belonged to another babyface underdog: Mustafa Ali.

However, a sudden injury resulted in Kingston stepping in for one of SmackDown's fastest rising stars at the time. The rest was, obviously, KofiMania history.

But there was still some story unquestionably left to tell, with Kingston and Ali never really getting the chance to tie up their own tale together on-screen.

There were actually plans for a Kingston Vs. Ali grudge match at WrestleMania 37 at one point, though. And Ali - as the leader of infamously dodgy stable RETRIBUTION - would even call out Kingston at the beginning of 2021 for stealing his moment a few years earlier.

Still, despite having what Kofi described as a "perfect" story just waiting to be told, WWE didn't commit to that particular program in the end - a move that understandably left the former WWE Champion feeling "disappointed".

He wasn't the only one.

Sure, The New Day's fight with AJ Styles and Omos at that first fan-attended show in forever was fine, but watching these two super talented storytellers get the chance to dive into this far more fascinating "it should have been me" story would have been a better use of both men's talents on 'The Grandest Stage'.
