10. Daniel Bryan Chokes Justin Roberts With His Tie
The Screw Up: Armed with enough adrenaline to fuel their assault, the cast of NXT's first season formed Nexus by kicking lumps out of John Cena, wrecking the Raw set and generally causing carnage. In the midst of the fray, Daniel Bryan irked WWE by choking ring announcer Justin Roberts with his tie.
They were not amused, and fired Bryan four days later.
The Moment: After a brief return to the indy scene, Daniel returned to a huge reaction as the mystery member of Team WWE at SummerSlam 2010. This was the first time Bryan had been treated like a standalone star in the company, and so it must be considered a landmark moment in his career.
It was poor that Nexus didn't get the win on the pay-per-view, but even that shouldn't overshadow how significant a night SummerSlam was for DB. He got to shine alongside top men like John Cena, Chris Jericho, Bret Hart and others, and he launched his babyface run.
