10 Shocking Heel Turns That Rocked WWE

7. Seth Rollins Becomes The Architect Of The Authority

The Shield were one of the best factions to hit the WWE scene in many years when they first appeared at the tail-end of 2012. By 2014, they still had steam and had actually been feuding with Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista (Evolution). Shortly afterwards, Seth Rollins turned his back on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, joining forces with the heels. On the June 2, 2014 edition of Monday Night Raw, Rollins 'sold out' and became part of The Authority. It was a wonderful swerve, one which instantly transplanted Rollins from Shield member to standalone main event star. Triple H, to his credit, did little but talk up Seth as the future of World Wrestling Entertainment, only making it easier for fans to hate what he had done. Not long after Rollins departed, The Shield split and both Reigns and Ambrose became singles stars themselves. They are still linked on television however, and perhaps WWE will involve Rollins in the mix with both men when he returns from injury. Back in the Summer of 2014, he immediately became one of the promotion's top villains by virtue of his turn.
