While on a September 1993 English tour, Sid and Arn Anderson got into a drunken fight at a hotel, reportedly over Sid bragging to Arn Anderson about the size of the push he was receiving by comparison to Arn in WCW. This fight was promptly broken up by WCW wrestlers on the scene, but Sid retreated to his hotel room, grabbed a pair of scissors, and returned, stabbing Arn 20 times while also scarring himself. The fight resulted with both Sid and Anderson spending a night in a hospital, an then promptly being deported. Upon returning to America, WCW officials determined that Sid started the fight and fired him, while only suspending Arn Anderson. Yes, Sid got drunk and almost killed Arn Anderson. That pretty much says everything.
