6. Finn Bálor Appears As The Demon
As referenced in the intro, Finn Bálor is blatantly only Brock Lesnar's new challenger at the Rumble because Vince McMahon doesn't mind sacrificing him. That's unavoidable at this point, but why not put some sizzle on the steak and give fans some reason to get moist over this first-ever meeting?
That's right, it's time to bust out ye olde handy Demon gimmick.
At first, it was tempting to remark that the shock here would be WWE wheeling Finn out as plain old leather-jacket-wearing smiler. After a bit of thought however, it's clear that this would actually be in-character for the promotion right now, and a much more astonishing move would be giving Bálor a hope in hell of winning.
He'd only have that by morphing into the creepy Demon and attempting to play mind games with a 'Beast' who didn't see it coming. Bálor would still lose, of course, but WWE have painted themselves into a corner there anyway, so they may as well let his demonic guise rattle the champ first.
