8. The World Elite
TNA's most memorable stables included The Main Event Mafia, Aces & Eights, Team Canada and The Beautiful People. All of those starred in major storylines. Meanwhile, Eric Young's collection of international talent spluttered along for around six months before quietly disbanding.
The World Elite, despite having some excellent workers in its midst, was a bit of an afterthought even when it was happening.
Originally, Kevin Nash was a bizarre addition. He'd been feuding against Young, so it didn't make much sense that he'd join up and the tale reeked of Vince Russo's booking - shock for the sake of shock. Furthermore, Nash's inclusion blew emerging names like The British Invasion and Young himself out of the water. They simply couldn't compete with his star power.
By late-2009, the idea had become lost in the TNA shuffle. Instead of being an excellent counterpoint to the star-laden MEM, The World Elite had an air of nWo B-squad about it. It's little surprise most have forgotten their run.
