Recently during one of his regular blog posts, Vince Russo revealed he had offered his services for free to TNA. The promotion turned him down, and it's fair to say that they really should be trying to move on from Russo by now. Over the course of TNA's 13-year history, Russo has played a big part, his ideas forming many of the main angles and characters promoted. When it became common knowledge that Vince Russo was no longer working with TNA, a lot of fans decreed it a good thing. Ever since the death of WCW, Russo has been vilified by wrestling enthusiasts. Many people just plain don't think the guy helps when he's around, but TNA hasn't exactly went from strength-to-strength without him. Nonetheless, it was a smart move to side step Russo, but it hasn't been one many have give the company credit for. Instead of realising that TNA were trying to move on, a lot of fans have criticised them for not replacing him with someone new. This is a classic case of TNA never being able to do anything right in the eyes of some, even when they try and move away from those with tired concepts.
