10 Steps In Re-Booking The Undertaker Vs. Brock Lesnar WrestleMania XXX Feud
2. Better Atmosphere During The Actual Match
When Undertaker challenged Kurt Angle for the WHC at the 2006 Royal Rumble PPV, ‘Taker used his ‘supernatural powers’ to break the ring and the color commentator infamously pitched in with a ‘Holy S**t’. In comparison, when Lesnar ended the Streak, Michael Cole spoke the line, ‘THE STREAK…is over!’ with such deadpan delivery that it robbed that moment of some of its magic.
To rectify this situation, the commentators should sell the entire match with far greater enthusiasm than before. The commentators didn’t give much emotion into their craft during the match, and there were some moments of awkward silence during the match.
If anything, it felt like an ordinary TV match when it came to sound. If it were to be re-done, the commentators would be instructed to sell every single move with greater enthusiasm and excitement, to make the match more exciting for the audience watching at home.
Furthermore, if there was ever a match where WWE's production team would be totally justified in pumping in artificial crowd noise, it would be for this match. For a match of this magnitude, the crowd was, for the most part, relatively silent, especially when compared to other matches on the card and previous Undertaker WrestleMania matches.
Fans had been wanting to see this match for many years, and now that it's finally here, there's barely and noise whatsoever. Artificial noise in this case would do wonders in making the match feel that much bigger to the audience.
