10 Strangest Ways Wrestlers Were Written Off TV
3. Mickey James Is Thrown Onto A Train Track
Controversial and insane writing isn't exclusive to WWE in the world of professional wrestling. That much was proved during Mickie James' 2015 run with Impact when the Knockouts Champion found herself involved in a programme with James Storm.
After Storm successfully convinced James to return from her recent retirement for one more match, he then offered the star a chance to join The Revolution. James would decline this offer, but it's what came next which really caught everyone off-guard.
Clearly annoyed by her decision, Storm pushed James onto a train track and left her for dead. This moment led to a negative response from some, with Jim Ross even admitting the situation "had (him) feeling embarrassed for two, very good talents."
This unusual act was used to write James off Impact television as she simply hadn't signed on for any more dates with the promotion at that moment in time.
In the end, she'd return a month later - after it was revealed she'd suffered a concussion from the fall - and challenged Storm to an intergender tag team match. After winning the bout, James would finally get revenge by delivering a jumping DDT to her attacker.
