2. 'Always Pounding Ass' T-Shirt
It'd be interesting to pin down WWE's marketing boffins and ask them exactly who a t-shirt proudly displaying the phrase, 'Always Pounding Ass' was aimed at. Simply tacking on 'Bar & Grill' at the end isn't enough to dissuade those who may feel a tad tentative about wearing this one out in public.
Faarooq and Bradshaw (collectively known as The APA) had some great shirts during their run. The 'Don't Take This Ass Whippin' Personally' design is a tremendous example of that, but things were taken too far later on.
Anyone who enjoyed the ass-kicking antics of The Acolytes Protection Agency on WWE TV would view the 'Always Pounding Ass' t-shirt as just a little out-there. It's hard to identify just who would feel comfortable wearing this.
WWE should have paused to think before release, and this shirt has since become just another example of mis-reading the core audience watching at the time.
Why don't they re-release this one for kids today and offend every demographic?
