10 Strongest Sellers In WWE Today
5. Dolph Ziggler
You can't have a top 10 list about selling in WWE without including DZ.
Ziggler can sell a slingshot like he's being shot out of a cannon and a clothesline over the top rope as if he's being spun like a top. There's no question that Dolph puts the work in to sell his opponent's offence, but sometimes, he overdoes it.
Bret Hart once said you don't want to be selling so much that fans start looking to the curtain to see who's going to run out and save you. It may be a dated reference considering the babyface run-in save is far less common today than it was in Bret's day, but the point remains true. There's a thin line between great selling and selling too much, a line that the truly great performers know how to walk with incredible balance.
There've been matches where Ziggler will take a simple forearm or clothesline blow and be selling, offensively useless, for the next several minutes. Over a single forearm smash?! It's times like these that prevent Dolph from ranking higher on this list.
An amazing athlete, Ziggler has all the physical attributes to make his opponents look incredible; it's an area where he constantly excels. When it comes to his own character, however, Dolph would be best served to dial it back a notch and appear more formidable.
