A man with 'Big' in his ring name had better be pretty damn strong - or at least ironically weak. Thankfully, the New Day's resident powerhouse is a prime example of the former, not the latter.

Big E. doesn't just look the part - although his expansive chest and signature "tricep meat" certainly make him one of the most impressive physical specimens on the roster. He also has an extensive background as a genuine athlete.

Originally a college football player, playing defensive lineman for the Iowa Hawkeyes, he shifted his focus more towards powerlifting after graduation.

He broke several Florida state records, and even set the benchmark for raw national records in the deadlift and total categories. Most of these have since been broken, but the current WWE Tat Team Champion still demonstrates his amazing strength on Raw and SmackDown - coupling it with a surprising agility, as anybody who has seen his suicide dive and signature splash will attest to.
