Ken Kennedy (or Mr. Kennedy, if you will) should have been a multi-time WWE Champion by now. He was brought up to the main roster with a lot of hype on the Smackdown brand in 2005 and was being groomed as a future main eventer. But in 2009 he was released due to being unsafe in the ring. Supposedly. It was just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kennedy was in the main event of a ten man tag match on Raw in May 2009 when he performed a back suplex that dropped Randy Orton onto his head, neck and shoulders. It didn't look that bad, but Orton has a history of shoulder issues and apparently complained about it to management after the match.Kennedy was fired that night and has spent the last six years working for TNA Wrestling. He likely won't ever return to WWE. It's understandable that Orton would be mad about something like that, but it's silly that WWE would fire the guy for one flub like that. Issue a fine or suspend him if he deserved it. Hell, have Vince dress him down in front of the rest of the locker room. Firing him was unnecessary as they ended up losing a talented performer in the prime of his career for really no good reason.
