10 Surprises WWE Could Pull At Backlash 2018
10. Only One Commentary Team
Since WWE are going back to dual-branded pay-per-views, it most likely means there will be two (or more) announce teams. But they could pull a huge swerve on everyone by having one main announce booth with representatives from both Raw and SmackDown Live as well as all their international teams.
It's a highly unlikely move WWE would be willing to take. They prefer having full teams for both brands when it comes to dual-branded pay-per-views. Survivor Series 2017 saw an exception to this, with one big commentary booth with announcers from both the red and blue brands.
Having just one commentary team throughout the event allows announcers from the opposite brand to give their thoughts and opinions on the matches they wouldn't always get to call. This could make like brand supremacy, with commentators gushing over their respective brand's rosters. Corey Graves could act as an icebreaker between them, considering he commentates on both Monday and Tuesday nights.
