After demanding over half a million dollars for SummerSlam (1991), and threatening to no-show if his demands were not met, Warrior was suspended for his actions; rather than sit out his suspension, he walked. But by the time Wrestlemania VIII rolled around, tempers had cooled between Warrior and Vince. Warrior ran out to save Hogan from Papa Shango and Sid, and the pop in the building was deafening.What made this moment so exciting, and so gripping, was how long the run to the ring was. It created a wonderful tension and suspense, and it climaxed when Hogan and Warrior joined hands in the ring a bridging combination of old and new.
