It took an unmatched chemistry between writer and performer to generate some of WWE's funniest ever content when the company hit its comedic peak in 2000.

Brian Gewirtz' work with The Rock effectively earned him a job for life - he is at this point a senior Vice President in Dwayne Johnson's '7 Bucks' production company - thanks to the trust the pair built up over 'The Great One's legendary WWE tenure. Gewirtz was also a creative confidante of Edge and Christian during the period in which they were a weekly riot. Side-splitting segments featuring the pair bouncing off Kurt Angle, Mick Foley and others were all penned with the help of the writer before he became Raw's creative head honcho under the new structure implemented by Stephanie McMahon in 2001.
