The WWE continues pushing towards a crucial part of their history, and with that comes a change in logo, a new digital network, and even a new, altered championship title. Photos were revealed this week of WWE COO Triple H posing with a new version of the WWE title, with the title belt featuring an updated logo from the company. With the new WWE logo front and center, the championship will be immediately identifiable with the brand that it represents-- something that the WWE holds in high priority. Throughout the WWE title's 50-year history, the WWE has had it's up and downs, but the title has continued to hold its importance. Despite almost being put out of business by WCW, even being pushed back to number 2 in the country, the championship was regarded by many as the most important prize in wrestling. In the 2000's, it seemed as if the WWE had even shifted the focus from their own signature championship to the World Heavyweight Championship, in which had served as WCW's crown jewel for well over a decade. As the brand split was phased out, so was the importance of the "Big Gold Belt," and was eventually unified with WWE's trademark title. Today, the WWE title is regarded by the vast majority of wrestling fans as the preeminent championship in the business. After years of changes and champions, the title hast a story unlike any other.
