8. The Debut Of The Real World€™s Champion

On September 9th, 1991, Bobby €œThe Brain€ Heenan, who was playing the role of Flair€™s financial advisor introduced the Nature Boy to a studio full of WWE fans booing. Immediately Flair launched into a classic promo where he ran down Roddy Piper, and promised to slap him across the face on sight, claimed the WCW title was 75,000 worth of gold, and challenged Hulk Hogan to see who the real World€™s Champion was.It was a stunning debut, as Flair occupied a space no one else could at the time. While guys like Harley Race, and Dusty Rhodes had come to WWE years earlier, neither were the World Champion or still in their prime upon debuting. He represented half of wrestling€™s greatest dream match of the 1980s, and it€™s a travesty fans were still 3 more years away from it happening on a major stage. From here, Flair went on to captain a team opposing Roddy Piper at Survivor Series, and lay the ground for a potential feud with Hulk Hogan by costing him the WWE Championship in his match with The Undertaker.
