Ric Flair showed exactly what he thought of TNA when he elected to show up for the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony in 2012 and accept an induction on behalf of the Four Horsemen stable. Yes, it was a deserved induction, nobody can ever take anything away from the fantastic work the Horsemen produced, but it was quite the slap in the face to TNA. By allowing WWE to ignore the fact that they needed Dixie Carter's permission to allow him to appear, Ric Flair disrespected his then-current employer badly. As for WWE, they blatantly disregarded the idea that they would need TNA's permission, even though Flair was under contract to that organisation at the time. The entire ordeal screamed of arrogance, and is just another example of Ric Flair treating TNA shabbily. Eventually, Carter did give her blessing for Flair to appear, recognising that it meant a lot to him, but that side of things came across as an afterthought. It really seemed like the wrestler would have elected to appear even if it had cost him his TNA contract.
