10 Things Stone Cold And Brock Lesnar Must Discuss On WWE Network Podcast
10. Brock Losing His First Match Back In WWE
On the night after WrestleMania XXVIII, Brock Lesnar made his surprise return to WWE, and attacked John Cena to end the show. Much of the next month would be built around the impending Cena/Lesnar match, with Brock repeatedly establishing himself as an other worldly competitor who was bringing much-needed "legitimacy" to WWE.
What followed was one of the best brawls we'll probably ever see, with Lesnar destroying Cena for 9/10th's of the match, and proving he was as crazy as it comes, when he threw caution to the wind and leapt from the steel steps in the middle of the ring over the top rope.
Bizarrely, John Cena was able to pull out a miraculous victory (that most fans rolled their eyes at) when he used a steel chain-assisted punch to down Lesnar. If this subject is approached by Austin, and it should be, he needs to ask Lesnar what he thought about losing some of his aura right off the bat.
At this time, Brock was recently removed from his UFC title reign, and could conceivably kill anyone on the roster in a shoot. Many fans were angry at the time, and felt Lesnar was used to simply give Cena a mammoth win following his 'Mania loss to The Rock.
Maybe Lesnar didn't care as long as they were paying him, but inquiring minds would love to know.
