10 Things That Made Brock Lesnar "The Beast"

10. His Debut

How a wrestler debuts often sets the tone for the rest of their career. Brock Lesnar€™s WWE debut was perfect in virtually every way. As soon as he entered the ring, he was briefly mentioned by Jim Ross as €˜the hottest free agent€™, which was a reference to how WCW, WWF and NJPW were basically in a bidding war over who would sign Lesnar after he had won the NCAA Division I heavyweight wrestling championship. In less than a minute, he disposed of three WWE Superstars with ease. First, he slammed Al Snow into a garbage can, and then he F-5ed Maven to the canvas. The third man in that hardcore match, Spike Dudley, tried to hit Lesnar in the head with a weapon, but it didn€™t affect Lesnar at all. Lesnar managed to pick Spike up and manhandle him like a rag doll, before giving him a Triple Powerbomb. What was interesting in Lesnar€™s debut was the crowd reaction; he wasn€™t getting overly booed, despite being associated with the villainous Paul Heyman. Some fans even cheered his offence. This was a sign that he would soon become someone the fans wanted to watch, regardless of his alignment.
