How a wrestler debuts often sets the tone for the rest of their career. Brock Lesnars WWE debut was perfect in virtually every way. As soon as he entered the ring, he was briefly mentioned by Jim Ross as the hottest free agent, which was a reference to how WCW, WWF and NJPW were basically in a bidding war over who would sign Lesnar after he had won the NCAA Division I heavyweight wrestling championship. In less than a minute, he disposed of three WWE Superstars with ease. First, he slammed Al Snow into a garbage can, and then he F-5ed Maven to the canvas. The third man in that hardcore match, Spike Dudley, tried to hit Lesnar in the head with a weapon, but it didnt affect Lesnar at all. Lesnar managed to pick Spike up and manhandle him like a rag doll, before giving him a Triple Powerbomb.What was interesting in Lesnars debut was the crowd reaction; he wasnt getting overly booed, despite being associated with the villainous Paul Heyman. Some fans even cheered his offence. This was a sign that he would soon become someone the fans wanted to watch, regardless of his alignment.
