Some fans have theorised (or, more accurately, hoped) that Triple H - a key player in WWE's edgy Attitude Era - would instantly do away with the company's kid-friendly outlook, and instead usher in a brave new era of blood and profanity.

But that's probably wishful thinking. 'The Game', even now, is a businessman as well as a wrestling man, and has already spoken publicly about pursuing commercial opportunities in what he sees as untapped international markets.

And if WWE wants to attract new sponsors and broadcasters overseas, the product will probably need to remain squeaky clean - at least in the immediate-term.

That's bad news if you're a fan of the more violent forms of wrestling, but good if you never want to see Triple H climb into a coffin again.
