2. Working Relationships With New Japan And AAA

Less than one month after the initial announcement of GFW, Jarrett and his promotion made another big statement. On April 29th, a partnership with AAA -- one of the top wrestling promotions in Mexico -- was announced to the world. This alliance will lead to a talent exchange program between the two promotions. Furthermore, the partnership itself stems from Jarrett€™s long relationship with AAA and its founder/owner, Antonio Peña. In an official press release, Jarrett said, €œI€™ve had a working relationship with the family that owns AAA for the past 10-plus years.€ Because of this prior relationship -- as stated by AAA€™s Executive Vice President, Dorian Roldan -- the Mexican promotion €œis happy to continue relationship with Jeff Jarrett and now with his newly formed wrestling promotion Global Force Wrestling.€ As if GFW€™s partnership with one of the top lucha libre promotions wasn€™t enough, on June 23rd, Jarrett announced another cooperative agreement -- this time with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The two promotions have agreed to exchange talent -- much like the agreement with AAA. New Japan€™s Chairman of the Board, Naoki Sugabayashi stated that the Japanese promotion is €œexcited to align with Jeff Jarrett and his vision for Global Force Wrestling.€
