Wade Barrett's first ring persona was "The Pinnacle", which he thought at the time was awesome but was told had to go. Sounds like he got some bad advice because that's a sweet name. He then changed it to Stu Sanders, which is a combination of his real first name and a tribute to an old British wrestler names Miles Sanders. While wrestling in developmental he was told he could no longer use Stu because WWE had to own the rights to his performing name, so he came up with what he thought was a terrific replacement - Lawrence Knight - calling it pretentious and pompous. Unfortunately Lawrence didn't win a match for six months so he figured it was time for a reboot. Wade came from rugby player Wade Dooley, and the last name was partially given to him by Dusty Rhodes.
