5. Bisch Legit Bought The Harley For Hulk Himself
Some fans may recall the Hollywood Hogan appreciation night segments on the go-home episode of Nitro before Starrcade. There, Eric Bischoff and his nWo cronies lavished gifts on Hogan and thanked him in advance for beating Sting. One of the presents was an nWo-branded Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Bischoff paid for that out of his own pocket.
Whilst everything else was bought or rented on WCW's dime, the Harley was something Eric wanted to purchase himself. He was returning a favour from Hulk two years earlier on Christmas Eve 1995. On that day, Hogan had a brand new bike delivered to Bischoff's house as a surprise, and Eric wanted to repay him.
Hilariously, the producer in charge of driving the bike out drove Bischoff's actual motorcycle out first. Then, audibly on air, he said he'd got it wrong, returned backstage and wheeled the right bike out. Eric, mid-ring and mid-promo, was pretty annoyed by that.
