10 Things We Learned From Post-Payback WWE Raw (May 1)

3. Smile!

Something odd and unfamiliar may be occurring from within the realms of Monday Night Raw's graveyard slot, but it's probably best just to whisper it in case anybody significant actually becomes aware. Titus O'Neil and Apollo Crews may actually be getting over.

Repetition of the inane interaction between Crews and O'Neil from last week's show bore fruit when Titus accompanied Apollo to ringside for his quick despatch of Heath Slater.

Comically arranged when O'Neil took umbrage with Crews going to Slater instead of him for fatherhood tips, the protracted squash would have been the usual drab affair without the ongoing hijinks.

It's lowercard fluff of course, but Crews has been in desperate need of a personality injection since his NXT days, and if a frustrated friendship with the deluded O'Neil is a catalyst for the attitudinal shift, then his admittedly impressive in-ring style might suddenly have a persona to match.

Titus' second attempt at a polished selfie with Crews was humorously foiled by Rhyno sneaking in on the shot, which could and should manifest itself as a crowd-pleasing running joke as the week's progress. Michael Cole calling the photobomb with more vigour than he would a powerbomb was a tragically unfortunate byproduct.
