10. Neville's Injury

We open the interview with Sami mentioning that being in Newcastle is a tad bittersweet because it’s Neville’s hometown and he’s not there to enjoy it. They talk about how unfortunate his injury was, which (coincidentally) took place in a match with Chris Jericho.

Zayn says the miraculous thing is that Neville has had an 11 or 12 year career without suffering any serious setbacks, something that is virtually unheard of in their line of work.

The injury was an even bigger disappointment because Neville, along with Zayn, Owens and the rest of that scene, was apparently set to take part in the multi-man Intercontinental ladder match at WrestleMania 32, and he mentions how much his friend could have shined in a match of that nature.

Chris talks about how frustrating it is when you get hurt on everyday routine move and then points out that the baseball slide is far more dangerous than people would expect.

In addition to Neville, he names Christian and Curtis Axel as others who have ended up injured from the maneuver and both guys advocate trying to avoid them if at all possible.
