5. Dash Of The Champions

2016's post-Brand Extension Monday Night Raw roster was dominated by Kevin Owens, Charlotte and The New Day as the lynchpins of their respective divisions, and with all now removed from the spotlights they'd previously enjoyed, the time for change looked evident.

All three went down to Raw upstarts on the show, with Charlotte doing the honours for Nia Jax, The New Day falling again to The Revival and US Champion Kevin Owens slipping up against new arrival Dean Ambrose.

Throughout much of last year, they dominated the headlines in their respective fields, but were all quietly neglected in the run-up to WrestleMania.

Charlotte was almost the fourth wheel in a match that should have still been for her title and undefeated streak, writers lost interest in Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho after their dramatic Las Vegas split, and the creative disinterest in The New Day after losing the tag team titles in December bordered on offensive.

A new show with new opponents should be just the fix for all of them, with Smackdown Live! traditionally the home of stronger in-ring action and tighter creative direction.
