10 Things We Learned From WWE's Aleister Black On E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness
1. Edge & Christian Genuinely Think He's Awesome
Throughout the entire podcast, both Edge and Christian occasionally seem lost for words when describing how much potential they think Aleister Black has. When Black answers their praise, there's a bounce to his voice, almost like his chest is bursting with pride.
At one point, Edge cut Black short and told him that, whilst it's understandable why he would doubt his place in WWE, he shouldn't. Christian then launched into a lengthy speech about Black's great in-ring footwork, poise and unique look. The legendary duo followed that up by acting like giddy fan boys as they excitably chatted about how awesome it'd be to see Black vs. Johnny Gargano or Tommaso Ciampa.
None of this comes across as contrived.
Black must have to pinch himself at the mere thought, but one of the most famous tag-teams of all time agree that he's going to be a top star in years to come, make lots of money and draw big for WWE. It's rare to hear such relentless praise for an interview guest that doesn't come across as false.
