While its true that WWE demands that every top star be a great speaker in order to be featured regularly (with very few exceptions), not everyone is good at cutting promos. There are other ways to show charisma without grabbing a microphone, and Kenta Kobashis a master of non-verbal charisma and storytelling the likes of which WWE should really study. Over the years, Kobashi has managed to garner enormous reactions by using some of the simplest expressions. Hed point to the turnbuckle and the crowd would go nuts (because they love him to perform Moonsaults). Hed get this crazy look in his eye and his fans would know that hes about to wreck his opponents. Hed yell something in Japanese before machine-gun-chopping his opponent in the corner. In other cases, all hed have to do to get the crowd to cheer for him is to point at his opponent and hed have them in the palm of his hand. Current WWE superstars should study Kobashi and try to emulate what he did. By paying attention to the subtle actions he did in the ring, other wrestlers would learn how to show charisma without having to cut promos and use repetitive catchphrases. Since wrestling matches demand far more non-verbal storytelling than spoken promos, it would make sense for other wrestlers to learn how to get the crowd behind them with small movements during a match instead of needing to say something directly to the crowd.
