5. The Real NWO€

This one is kind of out there. The New World Order is without a doubt one of the most influential wrestling stables of all time and was insanely popular during its run. However, every serious conspiracy theorist out there knows about the supposed real life New World Order, a term referring to the emergence of a totalitarian world government. Before you cry B.S. on this one, there are a couple of obvious similarities between the conspiracy theory and the wrestling stable which really can€™t be denied. Presumably, a key figure in the creation of the stable must have been an avid conspiracy theorist (cough€ Nash€ cough). The group was formed by Kevin Nash and Scott Hall; €˜outsiders€™ who infiltrated the WCW from an outside organization and who eventually joined forces with Hulk Hogan, who had previously been the top figure of said organization. The conspiracy theory suggests that a group of secretive power elites will take over the world, replacing previously established governments and nation-states. Hall and Nash €“ previously members of the infamous €˜Clique€™ €“ made it clear that they sought to overthrow those who controlled the WCW upon their arrival. And then there€™s the hand signs. The conspiratorial NWO is often closely associated with the king of all secret organisations: the Illuminati. Various hand signs are thought to be used by members but one of the primary ones known by many is extremely similar to the €˜Wolf Head€™ used by Nash, Hall, Hogan and co., which was first used by the Clique. And there€™s so much more€ Of course, none of this was likely picked up upon by most adult fans, let alone children. But, as an adult, once you start doing some late night research€ it gets weird€
